Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 October 2026

This page explains, in plain language, what IndicCore collects when you use the site and app, and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name and email address, or your Google profile name and email if you sign in with Google.
  • Your study activity: the exams you pick, the tests and drills you take, your answers, confidence tags, time spent, scores and the progress figures calculated from them.
  • Your target exam, which we save to your account so the app can use it.
  • Basic usage data: pages visited and how the app is used, collected with an analytics tool (PostHog), along with your browser and device type.
  • Messages you send us, such as feedback or reports about a question.

How we use it

  • To run your account and sign you in.
  • To save your attempts and show you your accuracy, streaks and weak topics.
  • To find bugs, fix problems and improve the product.
  • To reply when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party ads.

Who handles your data

We use a small number of service providers to run IndicCore: Supabase (sign-in and database), our hosting provider, PostHog (usage analytics) and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember choices such as your selected exam. Analytics may also set its own cookie or local storage entry. You can clear these in your browser settings, but you will be signed out.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and study history for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal data, except anything we are required to keep by law.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will help. Passwords are handled by Supabase and are never visible to us.

Security

Your data is stored with Supabase and sent over encrypted connections. Each account can only read its own attempts and answers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Children

IndicCore is meant for exam aspirants. If you are under 13, please do not create an account. If you think a child has given us their data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where we can, let you know in the app.
